A new Telehealth link has been used for the first time at Bay of Islands Hospital to assist in the care of a seriously ill baby.

The number of New Zealanders living with diabetes has doubled from 125,000 to 250,000 in the past 10 years, with 40 new diabetes diagnoses every day.

Consultations in an Invercargill Practice are being conducted via webcam.
